The West Virginia Legislature, Code 5A-4, created the Department of Administration General Services Division in 1933. The Division is comprised of several units, which provide operations & maintenance, architectural & engineering, asbestos coordination, health & safety coordination, custodial services and grounds maintenance for the West Virginia State Capitol Complex, and all buildings owned and maintained by the Department of Administration. In addition, General Services coordinates scheduling of events held on the State Capitol grounds. Our mission is to provide our customers and visitors with a safe and healthy environment.
